How is the problem treated?

With Treasa’s university undergraduate Masters training and her continued training following graduating, she uses a variety of different techniques to bring about recovery and healing. The techniques used at the clinic are low force and gentle in nature. A combination of hands-on treatment: massage, trigger point therapy, kinesiology taping and some of the techniques used in her training as a chiropractor.

Will I be sore after the treatment?

Some patients experience some tenderness after treatment. If you do experience tenderness after treatment, it usually subsides after 24 hours. In more acute cases some patients can feel instant relief.  If your condition is more chronic in nature it may take more time. Once you have gone through a consultation at the clinic, you will be given more advice as to whether it is likely you will feel any tenderness after the treatment.

Will I have to keep coming in?

Following an episode of acute pain many people are keen to avoid re-occurrence of the problem. Some patients when they have become pain free like to attend on a maintenance basis. This keeps the joints well aligned and muscles supple. Wherever possible, once a patient has become pain free they are given Chiropractor adjusting patienta choice of the preventative route and calling in once every few months for a “check-up”. Or if they prefer to, just contact the clinic when they need. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to your health. Each person is unique as is their complaint. At NBH a plan of care is tailored to suit each person and bring about a natural healing process.
