The rehabilitation phase. The goal of rehabilitation is to prevent re-occurance of the initial reason for attending. At this stage more responsibility is given to the patient. Individual specific advice is given to each person. Often, suitable exercise or stretching is advised. Exercising is an important part of keeping well and healthy. Pilates and yoga classes are fantastic for stabilizing the core muscles in the low back and maintaining suppleness. Other options include taking home exercise sheets (which I can customize and provide). This give you power and control over your own rehabilitation.

Kinesiology taping is an extremely useful addition to the rehabilitation process. Put simply, it is an elastic cotton strip with an acrylic adhesive that is used with the intent of treating injuries. It is designed to mimic skin. Its elastic property allows greater range of motion compared to traditional taping. The cotton fibers allow for evaporation and quicker drying.
