With Treasa’s university undergraduate Masters training and her continued training following graduating, she uses a variety of different techniques to bring about recovery and healing. The techniques used at the clinic are low force and gentle in nature. A combination of hands-on treatment: massage, trigger point therapy, kinesiology taping and some of the techniques used in her training as a chiropractor.
Treasa will always advise you of what you are likely to expect post care. It is different for each person as each person has a different history and issue they are addressing. Sometimes you will experience some tenderness after care. If you do experience tenderness after treatment, it usually subsides after 24 hours. In more acute cases you can feel instant relief. If your condition is more chronic in nature it may take more time. Once you have gone through a consultation at the clinic, you will be given more advice as to whether it is likely you will feel any tenderness after the treatment.
I attended Treasa in Natural Back Health with chronic back pain which was gradually worsening over about 20 years. My back problem got to the stage where I was suffering almost monthly.
Treasa got to work, relieving the immediate pain through gentle methods and continued improving the problem areas in further sessions. A great deal of attention was given to identifying why the issue occurred in addition to treating the current pain. Through the examination of complete lifestyle including exercise, diet, stress, sleep and work/posture patterns, a long-term plan for improving each individual area was facilitated and encouraged.

This is very dependent on the individual. If you have been dealing with a long term issue, it may need time and patience to move through the recovery period. If you have a more acute issue, something that very recently began to trouble you, the period of care may be shorter as you are addressing it more quickly.
Once you have moved through the initial reason for attending you may want to avoid re-occurrence of the problem. Going deeper to address the cause of the initial concern. Not just addressing the symptoms. This means an extended plan of care. Many of my patients like to proactive about their health and attend on a protective basis. Protecting the work and commitment to recovery they have done thus far. This means attending periodically support your body maintaining balance and alignment. This proactive choice supports your body’s ability to adapt and adjust to life’s stress and strains. The better shape you are in, the more resilient your body is under stress.
It is important to discuss where you are at with your level of commitment to care. How much time and energy you wish to commit to your recovery can impact the outcome or prognosis of your healing. There are many aspects to healing and recovery. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to your health. You are unique. Your complaint and reason for attending is unique. Discussing this with Treasa is important as she will tailor the plan of care to suit each person and support recovery and health.
